The correct answer is The Clyde No. 3 Mine Swinging Bridge in Clarksville, PA,15322<e/p>

CLUE #1

To start off your search, look for Heather or Kelly.

Sharon’s husband however, has no P.B. & jelly.

I hear your ride coming, and if it’s no bother,

I’ll meet you there, because there won’t be another.

Their number of people is really quite small,

and so is their store, they don’t need a mall.

Underneath there is something some might call a palace,

But I would only say that if you swam here from Dallas.

The correct answer is here, in this nice friendly town.

It’s a little hard to see, since it’s now broken down.

SOLUTION

Heather and Kelly are both shades of green. It was in Greene County.Sharon’s husband is Ozzy (Osbourne). There is a place there called Ozy’s Bar & Grille, and they do not serve peanut butter and jelly”I hear your…..(until)…..won’t be another”, refers to the song “Last Train To Clarksville” by The Monkees. You hear a train coming and they sing I’ll meet you at the station”. It’s the LAST train, so “won’t be another”.The population is usually around 200 people, so “quite small”There is a store called “Muhly’s Little Store”Under…..(until)…..Dallas. This is describing the South Fork Tenmile Creek which runs under the bridge. South Fork was the name of the ranch on the TV show Dallas. It is a huge super fancy house , some might say it’s a palace. It looked like a nice friendly town (my opinion only, no direct hint here)The Bridge is hard to see on Google maps, but you see it if you know where to look, and it’s deteriorating (sadly)

CLUE #2

UPDATE: GOOGLE Maps is your friend.

In the 60’s they sang, people loved them a bunch.

Then the 70s came and Clint’s friend packed a punch.

There’s a Superfriend here in the secret location,

There’s another here too, but he’s on Vacation.

The exact location, you can walk to or run,

please do not cross, it’s becoming undone.

It was once used for workers and those having some fun,

but it leaves me to wonder, was there a two or a one?

SOLUTION

I emphasized GOOGLE maps because the bridge itself did not show up on the iPhone “Maps” app.The Last Train to Clarksville was released in 1966, and people loved them. If you really want details, monkeys eat “bunches” of bananas.”Every Which Way But Loose” starring Clint Eastwood was in theatres in 1978 and his friend was an orangutan named Clyde who would punch people. The Superfriend is “CLARK” Kent.Another on Vacation refers to CLARK W. Griswold from the Vacation movies. that is why Vacation was capitalized.Of course you shouldn’t cross this bridge, you would probably die because it’s falling apart. It was built for workers to travel from the nearby town of Pitts Gas, but it was also used by teenagers as a hangout spot (literally). It’s number 3, so I wondered about one and two.

HINT

It is not in Greensburg or the Kinzua Bridge.

The pop culture hints are just what you need.

Movies, music, TV and something to read.

The singers & Clint’s friend have something in common.

So do the Superfriend and the one on Vacation.

These are the hints that will lead you to town.

SOLUTION

These were the most common wrong answers.Music – The MonkeesMovies – Every Which Way But Loose & The National Lampoon Vacation series.TV – DallasSomething to read – Comic books/SupermanThe singers (Monkees) and Clint’s friend are both primatesThe Superfriend and the one on Vacation are both “Clarks”Except for Clint’s friend (which was part of the bridge name), and Dallas (which is part of the creek name). All of these clues were leading you to the word “CLARK”

Some notes about today’s hunt

The question I got most today was “is this the same location I would have used in the original $6,000 hunt had it not been cancelled?”The answer is “No”. I really liked the original location for a physical treasure hunt so I kept it for next year.I would not have physically sent anyone out to that rickety (but cool) old bridge. I wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt.Everyone figured out “green” pretty quickly, which led to the hint about it not being in Greensburg.”Train” was also figured out pretty quickly, so we had a lot of train stations submitted. After the 2nd clue, bridge answers became common, so the hint about Kinzua. The most common mistake I could see was that people were ignoring the pop culture clues which were the hints to the town name.
